Elections News Nigeria Decides 2023

A former governor of Jigawa state, and leading Northerner politician Alhaji Sule Lamido, has rejected the two presidential aspirants, Dr Bukola Saraki and the governor of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed as the consensus aspirants put forward by the chairman of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, adding that it was his personal opinion.

Lamido in a statement he personally signed on Saturday said the move is not only injurious to the north but equally injurious to the other northern PDP aspirants.

He, however, described the move as the personal opinion of the NEF and its chairman.

Lamido maintained that the north is working with all the PDP aspirants and would speak at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, one of the presidential aspirants and governor of Sokoto state has declared the selection of Saraki and Mohammed as northern presidential aspirants null and void.
